Football in Primrose Hill

Played some football today with my old Au Pair family in Primrose Hill. Billy, Ed, Richard and Katherine were all there. Even though it was raining it was a very nice day in the park. Here is Billy:

Me and Johanna went to see our friend Jake play with his lovely band Goldheart Assembly last night. They were really, really good. Excellent musicians all of them. And the tunes are amazing. If you ever have the chance to see them, please do. Or at least listen on Spotify or Myspace.

A Single Man by Tom Ford

1962 in L.A. Can not be anything but beautiful since it's directed by Tom Ford. Love the style and Colin Firth is great as the English professor.

The film places emphasis on the clothes and architecture of the 1960s; the production design is by the same team that designed the TV series Mad Men, which is set in the same era.

Liquid Sky

Invisible aliens in a tiny flying saucer come to Earth looking for heroin. They land on top of a New York apartment inhabited by a drug dealer and her female, androgynous, bisexual nymphomaniac lover, a fashion model.

Inspiration given to me by lovely friend Stina Engman. The film Liquid Sky from 1982 has inspired her for one of her projects which also will occur in my magazine, Fluorescence.

David Lynch for Dior

David Lynch has directed Diors new campaign film "Lady Blue in Shanghai" starring french actress Marion Cotillard. Think it looks beautiful. Like the blue smoky intro on the site as well. It's out on saturday. Have a look.

A Shoreditch bar with a garden theme

Viet Hoa Bar is a new bar in Shoreditch that I want to go to. It's designed by Vonsung and is Japanese-inspired. It's supposed to give the feeling that you're outside in the grass and is entirely made out of recycled materials such as wood, OSB boards, dried moss, recovered park benches and strands from plasterboards. Perfect a day when it's raining.

Barcelona Day 3

Last day was spent a bit outside of Barcelona where Anaïs took us in her car. We had a great paella with seafood right next to the beach. The rest of the hours we had left was spent on the beach and we were so sad when we had to go home in the evening. We are definitely going back there as soon as possible.

Barcelona Day 2

The second day we met my lovely friend Anaïs who is from Barcelona. She showed us some more exciting things in the city center and we had lunch and Bloody Marys. After lunch we went to see the famous church La Sagrada Família by architect Gaudi. In the evening Anaïs brought her friend Irene to our hostel for a few beers. Then they took us to a very nice and cosy spanish restaurant for some excellent tapas in the Bourne area. We later went for a few drinks and me and Johanna continued to the same bars as the day before. There we met some Londoners who took us to a small night club. It was a fantastic night.
